About Travel Gos
Real travel guidance for real people — no filters, no fluff, just honest advice from those who’ve been there.
We’re not travel influencers.
Travel Gos was born out of a simple realisation: most travel advice out there is either too glossy, too generic, or completely out of touch with the reality of everyday travelers.
We don’t sell you a fantasy. We share real stories, hard-earned lessons, and practical guidance for situations that actually happen — passport expiring mid-trip, flight anxiety, solo travel after divorce, unstable WiFi in a foreign country, and everything in between.
Whether you’re a nervous first-timer, a newly retired couple, an introvert dodging group tours, or a digital nomad hunting for that one café with decent internet — we’ve got you covered with honest, actionable advice.
Our Philosophy
Four principles that guide everything we write, share, and recommend.
Authenticity
No sponsored fluff. We share what we’ve actually experienced — good, bad, and ugly.
Empathy
Travel can be intimidating. We meet you where you are, with kindness and zero judgement.
Practicality
Actionable tips you can use immediately — not vague inspiration that sounds nice.
Growth
We believe travel changes you. We’re here to help you navigate that transformation.
Our Story, Your Journey
✈️ How It Started
In 2022, after a decade of solo travel, group mishaps, and one particularly chaotic trip through Southeast Asia, our founder decided to create a space where travel advice was actually useful. Not aspirational. Not promotional. Just real.
We started as a blog for friends. Then friends of friends. Then strangers who found us through late-night Google searches about passport emergencies and flight anxiety.
🌍 What We Believe
We believe that travel is for everyone — not just the wealthy, the fearless, or the perfectly planned. We believe in the power of honest storytelling to prepare, comfort, and inspire.
And we believe that sometimes the best travel tip is simply: “You’re not alone in feeling this way.”
